About

Having studied with Stagedoor Ireland under Pat Howe and Emma O’Driscoll for 13 years, she is no stranger to the stage. While in school Abby adored music and would always partake in talent and variety shows. During her time at school she studied voice with Catherine Redding who led her to a successful grade in her final exams in music.

When it came to the next chapter in life, it was a no brainer to pursue her passion, so she began her studies in music with University College Dublin. While there she auditioned for the Choral Scholars of UCD and accepted a scholarship with the ensemble. For three years she sang with the choir bringing her to New York, Belgium and Áras an Uachtaráin.

The Choral Scholars recorded a disc with Signum Records, ‘Invisible Stars’, and Abby was asked to sing a solo song on the album, ‘Orphan Girl’. After the release of this disc there were many successes for the group. They released a video for ‘Mo Ghille Mear’ which currently stands at 7.5 million views on YouTube. ‘Orphan Girl’ also got a great opportunity to shoot a music video in County Mayo, Ireland, of which is has 350,000 views.

Through this success another album was born, ‘Perpetual Twilight’, where you can hear Abby’s vocals on ‘Body of the Moon’, an original piece by Desmond Earley about the lunar eclipse in 2017.

In March of 2019, Abby performed in New York’s Carnegie Hall with the Choral Scholars, an incredible achievement for the choir and Abby. She also sang on Sirius XM with Martin Goldsmith and on CBS Sunday Morning to 6.5 million people.
